5/13/2024 I don’t even know where so start- if you are considering this property, just book it. You will not be disappointed. We were here for MSU graduation, 60th birthday, and kicking cancer’s butt. The property is magical and soul soothing. Comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. And the views- so much history inside and out. Book now!

5/04/2024 Absolutely stunning! My family and I have stayed at a few airbnbs on our trip and this was by the far the best one. Secluded, beautiful views, rustic and antique cabin feel with modern amenities. Saw lots of wildlife and the stars at night are beautiful. If ever back out this way we will be stopping in again. The drive back is long and bumpy but that just adds to the experience and we honestly liked it better that way.

7/20/2023 Definitely one of our favorites ever on Airbnb! My family and I were looking for a place nearby Yellowstone np and it was only an hour in a half away. Livingston is right near by and all around amazing. The house felt like our home. So much wildlife near by! Would definitely stay here again. Communication was great and acclimation was just beyond. Overall such an amazing experience, thank you!

8/17/2023 Three ladies from a mountaintop in NY were in awe of the beautiful setting of The Shepherds Retreat. Judson was so helpful in mentioning where we should get some groceries prior to going to the house. While it is a good ride getting up to it from the main road, it is worth every minute. We rode with deer that wanted to show us the way a couple of times-as if they were happy to see us Judson has filled this home with comforting items of yesteryear while making it a smart home of today. When we had a special request. Judson acted on it immediately. We could not have been happier and certainly will recommend this to others Thank you Judson for your hospitality

Judson's home was exactly what my family needed for the reason for travel. His home was extremely clean, peaceful, warm, and welcoming. Judson's home was larger and more spacious than what the photos and descriptions say/show. We were VERY pleased. My family and I come from Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas. To say Judson's home is perfectly placed for peace is an understatement. It's gorgeous for sunrises and sunsets. Bring your binoculars, plenty of deer and antelope to watch. Judson was always responsive when communicating. The power had gone out over night, Judson was ahead of the game and handled it quickly

We consider the Ranch home when visiting Montana. It is so peaceful we recharge instantly when we first arrive. The history of the Ranch is everywhere in the home. We have stayed several times and will continue to return.

I have stayed countless times at this Montana gem and the beautiful surroundings never disappoint. If you are looking to get away and enjoy the peace and wildlife this is it. Judson is an exceptional host and always makes sure you have everything you need and very responsive. The work he has put into it to make it cozy and feel like home shows. A little bit of true Montana history at its finest.

Shepard's retreat was everything we could have hoped for in an airbnb for a family gathering! We appreciated the location. It was peaceful, private, and gorgeous! With lots of wildlife to watch and close to great recreation. The home was well stocked with everything you need to cook a family meal. The special care in providing a pack and play and other children's items was an added bonus for my 1 year old nephew. The decor was so neat and had us walking around discovering new things all weekend! We would most definitely recommend "the wind castle" to anyone looking for a comfortable stay outside of Livingston.

Shepherds Retreat is a truly wonderful vacation home! Everything was over the top and I would give it six out of five stars for a rating. Modern amenities in a secluded setting. Private with beautiful views in every direction. We hope to be back this summer. Thank you for your hospitality.
